Joe Leach of Cowshed will team up with Greenpeace on the projectGreenpeace is teaming up with music producer Joe Leach of London's analogue/tape-based Cowshed Studio to install a fully specified, soundproof recording facility in the Greenpeace field at this year's Glastonbury Festival, writes Dave Robinson. In what is believed to be a first for Glastonbury, Cowshed will be recreated in the field in a custom-built low-impact straw-bale building.

The Cowshed will offer attending musicians the opportunity to record using the studio's classic keyboard collection, grand piano, vintage mics and preamps, with an analogue 8024 mixing desk supplied by Audient. The complex will include a green room and two live stage areas exploring the theme of the protest song, under the moniker Raising Voices.
