London Electronic Music Event debuting next month

The first-ever London Electronic Music Event (LEME 2012) – set to take place on 18-19 February – will feature appearances from Ben Watt and Hal Ritson, among many others.

Toolroom Records, Dom Betmead (The Nextmen), SoundCloud and DJ Magazine are also participating in the event, which will be staged at London’s Alchemea College.

Representatives of Toolroom Records will talk about the development of an electronic music brand, while Everything But the Girl co-founder, producer and DJ Ben Watt will discuss his work.

A long list of production workshops will include ‘Synth Programming with Massive’, ‘Mastering Alchemy: The Gold Standard’, ‘Bass and Kick: A Pivotal Relationship’, ‘Mix Bus Processing’, ‘Talking Dance Music Live’, ‘Songwriting and Producing for the Stars’ and ‘Drum Programming’. Marc Adamo (author of The Secrets of House Music Production) and lecturer/journalist Bruce Aisher will be among those presenting hands-on tutorials.

‘Six Ways to Make Money in the Industry’ and ‘Getting More from SoundCloud’ will be among the topics featuring in the business & marketing strain.

The event takes place 18-19 Feb 2012, 9.30am-9pm, at Alchemea College, London. Attendance costs £140 for the weekend.
